Linear
Create Linear issues from synthesized feedback.
What you will need
- API key
- Team ID
Steps
In FeedbackFlow, open your project, go to Integrations, and select Linear. Then:
- 1
Create a personal API key in Linear → Settings → Security & access → API, then paste it into FeedbackFlow.
- 2
Find your Team ID in Linear → Settings → Team → General, and enter it into FeedbackFlow.
What FeedbackFlow sends to Linear
Nothing. Linear is a destination, not a source. Filing a topic creates an issue on the team you configured, with the synthesized summary as the title and the supporting detail as the description.
Check that it worked
- The Team ID field takes either the team key (ENG) or its UUID; a key is resolved to an ID on the first file.
- File any triaged topic to Linear from the topic view.
- The issue opens in Linear, and its status is tracked back on the topic afterwards.
If it is not working
- No Linear team found with that key
- The Team ID is neither a UUID nor a key that exists. Use the key shown on issue identifiers (ENG in ENG-123) or the UUID from Settings, Team, General.
- The API key is rejected
- Personal API keys stop working when the member who issued them loses access to the team. Create the key from an account that stays on the team.
- A filed issue shows as deleted
- Status tracking reads the issue back, and a missing issue is recorded as deleted rather than as an error.
